Beebe Healthcare offers a complete range of benefits to employees. Many of these benefits are part of Beebe Healthcare's flexible benefits program that allows employees to choose their specific plans.
Health Insurance: Coverage through a Preferred Provider Organization (PPO), with High or Low Options, is available to full-time and part-time (above 32 hours per pay period) employees, and is offered to dependents. Coverage for spouse is available where health insurance is not available through spouse's employer.
Health Insurance Waiver: Full-time employees receive $500 per year, or $19.23 per pay, and part-time employees receive $250, or $9.62 per pay, as reimbursement for not taking advantage of Beebe Healthcare's health insurance programs.
Dental Plan: Two comprehensive dental plans are available where you may have your choice of in and out of network dentist for full and part time employees.
Vision Plan: A comprehensive vision assistance plan is available to full-time and part-time (above 32 hours per pay period) employees. A choice of physicians and eye centers is available.
Prescription Benefit Plan: All employees may purchase prescriptions from the Beebe Healthcare Pharmacy with a discount. The health plans include pharmacy coverage for local pharmacies with a co-pay.
Dependent Care Reimbursement Account: Benefit-eligible employees may elect to set aside pre-tax dollars for child-care and elder-care reimbursement.
Healthcare Reimbursement Account: Benefit-eligible employees may elect to set aside pre-tax dollars for any medical expense that is not fully covered by insurance.
Paid Time Off: Beebe Healthcare offers a generous Paid Time Off plan. All regular full-time employees accrue 7.69 hours per pay period or 25 days per year. PTO may be used for vacation, sick leave, holidays, float days, or personal days. Beebe Healthcare recognizes eight holidays annually.
Long-Term Sick Bank: Full-time employees accrue 1.53 hours per pay period or 5 days per year. Part-time employees accrue on the hours worked at the rate of 0.0191 per hour worked up to a maximum of 1.53 hours per pay period.
Short-Term Disability: This benefit is available to all full-time employees at no cost.
Long-Term Disability: Full-time employees are eligible for 50% of base salary after they have been on leave for 6 months. Full-time employees may purchase an additional 10%.
Life Insurance: Beebe Healthcare provides full-time employees life insurance coverage equal to one and one-half (1.5) times their annual salary. Part-time employees have $10,000 coverage.
Pension: Beebe Healthcare has a Defined Benefit Pension Plan in which an employee over the age of 21 is automatically enrolled after one year of service. An employee is 100% vested after five years of service and working a minimum of 1,000 hours each year.
Retirement Plus Program: Beebe Healthcare contributes matching dollars up to 4% of an employee's base pay with a 50% match. Lincoln Financial is the administrator for this program. An employee may contribute up to 20% of annual income or $16,500 ($22,000 if age 50 or older), whichever is less.
Tuition Reimbursement: Beebe Healthcare will provide tuition assistance to eligible employees on a reimbursement basis up to $5,000 per year for full-time employees and pro-rated for eligible part-time employees.
Shift Differential: An additional 9% for evening shift, 14% for night shift, and another 9% for weekend shift is paid to all hourly employees (18% for weekend evening and 23% for weekend night). An employee must work four hours into a shift to be eligible. Weekends begin 3:00 p.m. on Fridays and end Mondays at 7:00 a.m.
Direct Deposit: All employees may elect to have their pay automatically deposited to the checking or savings account of their choice.
Parking: Free parking is available for all employees.
Health Services: Pre-employment physical examination, tuberculosis screening annually, flu vaccine offered annually, and biannual physical examinations are available to all employees.
Credit Union: Checking and savings plans are available to all employees through the Sussex County Federal Credit Union.
Blood Bank: Individual and family membership in the Blood Bank of Delmarva is free to all employees.
Award Recognition: Service awards are presented to all employees for five years of service and in five-year increments thereafter. A Special Employee Awards Banquet is held annually for those honored and for retirees.
College Savings Plan: Beebe Healthcare offers a College 529 Savings Plan, through Delaware College Savings Plan, with all earnings tax-free for qualified higher education expenses.
