Beebe Healthcare’s IT Team among top in the nation, according to Healthcare IT News

Beebe Healthcare’s IT Department has been named among the Top 5 Best Hospital IT Departments in Healthcare in 2015 for medium sized organizations, according to Healthcare IT News.

The industry publication and website is sponsored by the Healthcare Information and Management Systems Society (HIMSS), a non-profit industry organization. The story, “Beebe Masters Crafting the Team,” appears in the latest issue of the publication highlighting Beebe Healthcare’s Vice President and CIO Mike Maksymow for bringing together Beebe’s IT employees and consultants to form a cohesive team. Morning meetings at the beach, just a mile down the road from the Medical Center, and pot luck celebrations are a few examples of how team members are brought together to get to know each other on a different level. Team building, training and education also were cited as important.

“We work hard together so it is important that we work well together,” story author Erin McCann quoted Mr. Maksymow as saying. Mr. Maksymow joined Beebe Healthcare more than two years ago and has led many initiatives as the healthcare system implements a system-wide electronic medical record, as well as the latest in information technologies and computer systems that support Beebe’s growth and its goal of providing quality patient care.
