Beebe Healthcare Invites the Community to Attend the 2015 Health Fair

Beebe Healthcare invites the community to its 2015 Health Fair to take place Saturday, February 7, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Rehoboth Beach Convention Center.

This free event, designed to promote healthy living for all ages, offers a variety of screenings, cooking demonstrations, educational materials and giveaways, light refreshments, and entertainment. There also will be presentations by featured speakers, Zumba demonstrations and flu vaccinations provided by the state Division of Public Health.

A special addition this year will be an exhibit with information about the Dr. Dean Ornish Program for Reversing Heart Disease™, which Beebe is introducing to at the Beebe Health campus in Rehoboth Beach in late February – early March. This program is nationally recognized – through the results of more than 35 years of peer-reviewed, published research – for reversing the progression of heart disease. Staff from the Dr. Dean Ornish Program will be on hand to answer questions.

Representatives from a wide variety of health organizations will provide information and be available to answer questions. The event will include health screenings for heart disease, kidney disease, diabetes, osteoporosis and HIV. Those attending will be able to learn their body mass index, blood pressure, bone density and glucose and cholesterol levels from qualified clinicians.

No registration is required. For additional information, please call Beebe Healthcare’s Population Health Department at (302) 645-3337. In case of inclement weather, check WBOC-TV, or radio stations 98.5 FM or 103.9 FM.
