The first Joan Bennett Tease Scholarship in the amount of $1,000 was awarded to Chloe Charlsen, a first-year student at the Margaret H. Rollins School of Nursing at Beebe Medical Center.
Chloe, a Dagsboro resident, graduated from Sussex Technical High School. This scholarship was established in memory of Joan Bennett Tease by her son, Jeffrey J. Tease. Mrs. Tease was a 1951 graduate of the Lankenau School of Nursing in Wynnwood, Pa. Her primary area of interest was maternity and neonatal nursing.
Connie Bushey, RN, MSN, MEd, the Director of the Margaret H. Rollins School of Nursing, said, “We are most appreciative that Jeff Tease remembered his mother with this scholarship to benefit our student.”
