Beebe Goes Purple 2020: Foundation Event

to

Hudson Fields, Milton

Beebe Goes Purple is a 1-mile drive-thru event to recognize Opioid Awareness Month.

The goal of this event is to: Create Awareness -- Reduce Stigma -- Offer Resources -- Experience Connection.

A naloxone distribution and resource center will be available during the event to train people how to identify an overdose and what steps to take to administer naloxone, which can save lives during an opioid overdose. Those trained will immediately receive an opioid rescue kit.

The program will be live-streamed via Facebook Live beginning at 6 p.m.  During the program, we will all ceremoniously light a candle - both at the event and wherever you are as long as you can safely light a candle as a sign of hope and unity.

Beebe Medical Foundation sold yard signs during the month of September to support the event and Beebe's GO PURPLE FUND.  This fund supports education, awareness, treatment, and community outreach surrounding opioid addiction in Sussex County.  These signs, displaying messages of hope, encouragement, honor or memory of others affected by addiction will be displayed at the event at Hudson Fields.
