Mary Jenson Breast Cancer Survivor

Mary Jenson is determined to make a difference in people's lives, so she helps those who need help. She is especially concerned about people with disabilities. When she was under treatment for breast cancer eight years ago, her friends did so much for her, she recalls. "It made me more spiritual, appreciate life more, and appreciate my friends for what they did for me."

Mary is active in the American Legion Auxiliary. She recently received a pin for achieving a record for raising the most amount of money at an Appleby's restaurant fundraising breakfast. The breakfast raised $3,331 which was used to purchase calling cards for wounded soldiers. Mary personally delivered the cards to Walter Reed. "What an experience," she says.
