Judy Condos Lung Cancer Survivor

Judy Condos was so impressed by the care she received at Tunnell Cancer Center that she decided to volunteer there so she could help the staff. In April she celebrates her 70th birthday and five years of being declared "cancer free."

"I was diagnosed with stage 3 lung cancer," she recalls. "But the people at Tunnell were wonderful." Judy has volunteered for more than three years, mostly in the Radiation Department. "Sometimes I share my story. Cancer is not the death sentence we think it is."

Judy cherishes every moment, and her favorite pastime is riding her scooter with her husband Peter, who also has a scooter. "To be safe, we ride on country roads and don't go too far. We love the outdoors."
