Peggy McGirr-Crowley, DNP, RN, AGACNP-BC, serves as an inpatient nurse practitioner for Bariatric patients at the Margaret H. Rollins Lewes Campus and the Specialty Surgical Hospital. She offers an important role during the inpatient for those undergoing weight loss surgery, providing care from admission to discharge.

As a nurse practitioner, Peggy works closely with the Bariatric surgical team to ensure patient safety, timely recovery, and patient education. Her expertise is a vital part of the clinical care team in educating and advocating for patients and their families. 

Education, Training, and Credentialing
Peggy earned a Doctor of Nursing Practice at Purdue Global University, where she also graduated with a Master of Science in Acute Care Nursing and a Bachelor of Science in Nursing. She is licensed as an acute care nurse practitioner in both Delaware and Pennsylvania.

Earlier Work Experiences
Peggy officially joined Beebe in 2022. Previously, she was a nurse practitioner with the cardiovascular surgical services team at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital.

Peggy has a vast amount of experience as a critical care registered nurse, having served at several healthcare systems throughout her career, including Penn Medicine, Mainline Hospital, ChristianaCare Health System, and Nemours Children’s Hospital.

Personal Notes
Sussex County is a perfect fit for Peggy, after relocating from a large city. She enjoys being part of a community that is well-established with great places to enjoy her passion for kayaking, as well as a healthcare system that opens opportunities to excel in her career.
