Pete Zingone, ACNPC-AG, is a nurse practitioner who serves as a hospitalist at Beebe Healthcare. He provides comprehensive care for patients who have been admitted to the hospital for treatment of acute and chronic medical conditions. Pete is proud to work at Beebe because it is an integral part of his community, and he is passionate about giving back. Serving at Beebe allows him to provide high-quality care to the very people he lives among—his family, friends, and neighbors. He takes great pride in contributing to the well-being of his community and making a meaningful impact every day.

Education, Training, and Credentialing

Pete earned a Master’s degree in Nursing as an Acute Care Nurse Practitioner–Gerontology from Walden University in Minneapolis, Minnesota. He is also a graduate of Delaware Technical Community College, where he earned an Associate’s degree in Nursing. He is board-certified as an Acute Care Nurse Practitioner (ACNPC-AG), demonstrating his advanced clinical expertise in managing acute and complex conditions in adult and geriatric patients.

Earlier Work Experience

Before joining Beebe as a hospitalist nurse practitioner, Pete worked as a nurse practitioner part of the cardiovascular surgical team at ChristianaCare. Prior to that, he spent 17 years as a registered nurse, specializing in emergency medicine, trauma, intensive care, and rapid response. Serving on the Early Nurse Intervention Team (ENIT) was a pivotal part of his career; it allowed Pete to play a vital role in identifying and addressing early signs of patient deterioration, preventing Code Blue emergencies, and improving patient outcomes.

Before beginning his career in healthcare, Pete proudly served in the United States Marine Corps, where he gained invaluable leadership skills, discipline, and a dedication to teamwork. His military experience continues to shape his approach to patient care, ensuring he remains calm under pressure and committed to serving others.

Personal Interests

Outside of work, Pete finds joy in spending quality time with his two daughters, Olivia and Luciana, who are his greatest source of pride and inspiration. He also shares a deep bond with his mother, whose love and support have profoundly shaped the person he is today. Pete cherishes the time spent with his loved ones, with family is at the heart of everything he does. He stays active through running and embraces his passion for creativity by building and crafting various projects; Pete finds fulfillment in bringing new ideas to life.
