ABOUT THE PROVIDER

At Beebe Healthcare
Rachel Fields, MSN, ACACNP-BC, CCRN, is a nurse practitioner who specializes in adult gerontology and acute care at Beebe Healthcare. She works with the hospitalist team at the main hospital campus, delivering quality patient care while also making it a priority to keep communication lines open with patients and their families. Rachel believes patients can better navigate and manage their health when they feel heard and understood, and are educated about the nature of their medical issues and the steps that will be taken to treat them.

Education, Training, and Credentialing
Rachel is a graduate of Walden University, where she earned a master of science in nursing as an acute care nurse practitioner and was part of both the Sigma Alpha Pi and Golden Key National Honor Societies. She also earned her bachelor’s degree at Walden University, along with an associate’s degree in nursing from Delaware Technical Community College. Rachel is certified as an adult gerontology acute care nurse practitioner by the American Nurses Credential Center (ANCC).

Earlier Work Experiences
Prior to joining Beebe Healthcare, Rachel served as a nurse practitioner at Delaware Cardiovascular Associates, with focus on outpatient-based cardiology care for patients diagnosed with complex heart conditions. Earlier in her career, she worked for several healthcare systems across Delaware and Maryland, including Beebe Healthcare, where she served for many years as a charge nurse in the hospital’s intensive care unit. Additionally, Rachel worked for three years as an adjunct instructor in the School of Nursing at Delaware Technical Community College.

Personal Notes
Rachel is married and is mom to six children. In her free time, she enjoys spending quality time with her family, reading, cooking, and playing games.
