A Message from Dr. David Tam, President and CEO of Beebe Healthcare

Hello Sussex County, I want to provide an update on what is going on at Beebe Healthcare, your local, community health system.
We are currently experiencing a very high volume of patients at our Margaret H. Rollins Lewes Campus, which houses our main hospital. Much like what we experienced last January, we are caring for numerous sick patients in our emergency departments and in our hospital. I want you to know that our teams are doing everything we can to care for these patients. Although different than last year, respiratory illnesses (flu, RSV, and COVID-19) are certainly having an impact on the health of our community and healthcare systems.
In order to assist our community who needs non-emergency care, our Rehoboth Beach Walk-In and our Millsboro Walk-In Care Centers will remain open until 9 p.m. this evening (1/11/23).
Additionally, Beebe Medical Group Primary Care offices will be expanding their same-day appointment offerings. If you are a Beebe Medical Group patient and need to be seen today, please call 302-645-3332.
I apologize if you’ve experienced a long wait in one of our emergency departments or anywhere else throughout the system. Thank you for your kindness and understanding as our entire team of 3,000 team members works diligently to care for you. It really makes a difference to our team. It’s our privilege to care for you. Please help us by taking precautions during the height of our respiratory illness season.
