Annual Healthgrades Report Recognizes Beebe Healthcare for 5-Star Treatment of Heart Failure

Beebe Healthcare has been recognized by Healthgrades for 5-Star Treatment of Heart Failure, Pneumonia, Sepsis, and Gallbladder Removal Procedures.

The achievements were recently released, with other new findings in the Healthgrades 2016 Report to the Nation, which evaluates hospital performance at nearly 4,500 hospitals nationwide for 33 of the most common inpatient procedures and conditions.

According to Healthgrades, a 5-star rating indicates that a hospital’s clinical outcomes are statistically significantly better than expected when treating the condition or performing the procedure being evaluated.

Receiving 5 stars for treatment of Heart Failure, Pneumonia, Sepsis, and Gallbladder Removal Procedures, means Beebe Healthcare is performing statistically significantly better than expected based on patient outcomes collected by the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid.

“These 5-star ratings from Healthgrades are a measure of the outstanding care and great outcomes that our patients receive at Beebe. We are fortunate to have an incredible team of doctors, nurses, technicians, and other key staff members who work together to continually look for opportunities to improve the care and experience for our patients,” said Jeffrey M. Fried, President and CEO, Beebe Healthcare. “We know that patients are becoming more discerning and more interested in the costs and quality of the care they receive, and this recognition from Healthgrades should help to give patients in our communities the confidence that Beebe is right choice for them.”

For its analysis, Healthgrades evaluated approximately 40 million Medicare inpatient records for nearly 4,500 short-term acute care hospitals nationwide, and assessed hospital performance relative to each of 33 common conditions and procedures.
