Join the Palliative Care team on Wednesday, April 16, at the Lewes Public Library, 111 Adams Avenue in Lewes, or on Thursday, April 17 at the Millville Volunteer Fire Company, 35554 Atlantic Avenue in Millville.
Each day, a presentation begins at 9 a.m. and then personal assistance will be available from 10 a.m. to noon. Registration is strongly recommended. To register for either event, please register here.
An Advance Health Care Directive is a legally recognized set of instructions to your medical providers. The directive can tell your medical team who you want to make decisions about your healthcare choices if you are unable to do so yourself. The directive can also give specific directions about the care choices you want at the end of life. The document includes a series of forms and is generally easy to complete.
On-site offering support and guidance will be Katie Johnson, DO, Director of Palliative Care Services, and Beebe Chaplains Keith Goheen, M.Div., BCC, and Paula Waite, M.Th., ACC.
Any members of the community who wish to take advantage of this service, but who are unable to attend the workshops on, can contact Beebe’s Chaplain Office at 302-645-3759 for information and assistance.
