Beebe Suspends Elective Outpatient Diagnostic Testing, Screening, and Physical Rehab
To continue the effort to stop the spread of coronavirus (COVID-19), Beebe Healthcare is suspending all non-urgent diagnostic testing, physical rehabilitation, and screenings.
This includes physical therapy, occupational therapy, speech therapy, cardiac rehab, pulmonary rehab.
Beebe is postponing all non-urgent outpatient diagnostic exams and services for at least 6 weeks (May 4) and will re-evaluate as we approach that date.
Beebe is taking these precautionary measures based on guidance from the Surgeon General, American College of Surgeons, the American Society of Anesthesiologists, and in alignment of other acute care facilities in our region. Earlier this week, Beebe also postponed elective surgical procedures. Patients will receive a call from their Beebe Medical Group surgeon or provider about rescheduling.
Urgent procedures and tests will still be provided. Please contact your provider for more information. Urgent services will be held at Beebe Healthcare satellites and other health campuses, which include the Rehoboth Health Campus, and Milton, Millsboro, Millville, Georgetown satellite campuses.
At Beebe Healthcare’s Margaret H. Rollins Lewes Campus, no outpatient lab and diagnostic imaging will be performed. This includes non-urgent cardiac stress tests and vascular studies.
Beebe is continuing to evaluate all of our processes to ensure the upmost safety of our community. We realize that this might be a hindrance for some, and we apologize in advance for any inconvenience this may cause. But we feel that taking this precaution now in order to protect the safety of those in our facilities is our highest priority.
