The Margaret H. Rollins School of Nursing at Beebe Healthcare is pleased to announce the following recipients of the Margaret H. Rollins School of Nursing Scholarships:

•    Rebecca Arpie of Millsboro
•    Megan Kelly of Georgetown
•    Teryn Green of Dover
•    Kerry Carr of Delmar
•    Adam Scott of Milton

The School of Nursing Scholarship is awarded to students annually in the amount of $1,000 upon recommendation from the Student Services Committee.

The monies for this scholarship fund were provided from the Francis Baylis Jones Loan, Ruth VanPelt Beebe Scholarship, Nasser Saberi Scholarship, and the Joanna Speicher Scholarship, along with other donations.

Francis Baylis Jones was the Director at the School of Nursing in the late 1940s and early 1950s. Ruth VanPelt Beebe was a 1942 graduate of the School of Nursing. Nasser Saberi was the brother of Dr. Mansour Saberi, a long-time doctor at Beebe and supporter of the School of Nursing. Joanna Speicher was a student at the Beebe School of Nursing. Memorial donations directed to the school also contribute to the fund.

The Margaret H. Rollins School of Nursing at Beebe Healthcare is the only hospital-based nursing program in Delaware and is accredited by The Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN). The diploma in Professional Nursing is awarded at the completion of the curriculum, qualifying graduates to be eligible for National Council of State Boards of Nursing NCLEX examination, leading to licensure as a registered nurse.  Beebe graduates consistently have high NCLEX pass rates.

The School of Nursing graduating class of 2019 recently achieved a pass rate of 100% and was named the No. 1 nursing school in Delaware by RegisteredNursing.org.
