UPDATED: Beebe Healthcare Visitor Restrictions at All Locations - MARCH 18, 2020

Beebe Healthcare is continuing to evaluate the rapidly changing information about coronavirus (COVID-19), and we take the health and safety of our team members, medical staff, patients and visitors seriously.

On March 12, we implemented a visitor restriction and as of 10 a.m. Wednesday, March 18, there are the updated guidelines that include limiting patients to one essential visitor (see additional information below).

This Visitor Policy is in effect for all of Beebe Healthcare, which include: the Margaret H. Rollins Lewes Campus, Emergency Department, Same Day Surgery, Cardiac Catheterization Lab and Diagnostic Services at the Margaret H. Rollins Lewes Campus; Surgery and Endoscopy Centers, Tunnell Cancer Center, Rehabilitation Services Centers, Diagnostic Imaging Centers, Lab Express Centers, Beebe Medical Group Physician Practices, Walk-in Centers, etc.

For patients in our outpatient locations:

  • Patients who are being evaluated for or who have been tested positive for COVID-19 will not be permitted to have visitors.
  • The identified essential visitor will be screened upon arrival and may not be able to enter if they are deemed potentially infectious.
  • Children 16 and under will not be allowed to visit.

For Patients admitted to Beebe Healthcare’s Margaret H. Rollin’s Lewes Campus hospital:

  • Visitation hours will be 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
  • Two entrances will remain open for visitors. This includes the Main Entrance near the parking garage, and the Emergency Department Entrance.
  • The East Entrance near the flag pole will be closed to visitors.
  • Patients who are being evaluated for or who have been tested positive for COVID-19 will not be permitted to have visitors.
  • Patients will need to specify one (1) essential visitor such as spouse, parent, caregiver, domestic partner, support person, or adult child 17 and over, who will be permitted to visit them while in the hospital.
  • The name of the one essential visitor will be recorded in the hospital’s system.
  • Only the one (1) essential visitor will be permitted to visit the patient for the duration of their stay. Other visitors will not be permitted to enter the Margaret H. Rollins Lewes Campus to wait in any area of the facility including waiting rooms, cafeterias or hallways.
  • The identified essential visitor will be screened upon arrival to the hospital and may not be able to enter if they are deemed potentially infectious.
  • Children 16 and under will not be allowed to visit.

We realize that this might be a hindrance for some, and we apologize in advance for any inconvenience this may cause. But we feel that taking this precaution now in order to protect the safety of those in our facilities is our highest priority.
