Village Improvement Association Presents Mildred Gray Scholarship to Nursing Student

The Village Improvement Association presents the Mildred Gray Scholarship.

The Village Improvement Association (VIA) of Rehoboth Beach, a member of General Federation of Women’s Club (GFWC), sponsors the Mildred Gray Scholarship, which is presented to a student attending the Margaret H. Rollins School of Nursing at Beebe Healthcare. The student must be a Sussex County resident, non-traditional student, and have at least a B average in the nursing courses.

This year’s recipient of the VIA scholarship is Michaela Trice, a senior student who lives in Seaford.

Rose Marie Patin, the VIA President, expressed the Association’s support of the School of Nursing and the future of its graduates.

The Margaret H. Rollins School of Nursing at Beebe Healthcare, is the only hospital-based nursing program in Delaware, and is accredited by The Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN). The diploma in Professional Nursing is awarded at the completion of the curriculum, qualifying graduates to be eligible for National Council of State Boards of Nursing NCLEX examination, leading to licensure as a registered nurse. Beebe graduates consistently have high NCLEX pass rates. For more information on the School of Nursing, go to www.beebehealthcare.org/school-nursing.
