The Village Improvement Association of Rehoboth presents Mildred Gray Scholarship to Charmaine Ferebee

VIA presents scholarship to School of Nursing Student
The Village Improvement Association (VIA) of Rehoboth, a member of General Federation of Women’s Club (GFWC), sponsors the Mildred Gray Scholarship for students attending the Margaret H. Rollins School of Nursing at Beebe Healthcare. The student must be a Sussex County resident, non-traditional student, and have at least a B average in the nursing courses.
The recipient of the VIA scholarship this year is Charmaine Ferebee, a first-year student who lives in Frankford, Del.
The VIA President Rose Marie Patin remarked, “The Village Improvement Association of Rehoboth is pleased and proud to support and encourage the nursing students at the School of Nursing. The Margaret H. Rollins School of Nursing at Beebe Healthcare offers an outstanding program that is needed in our service area.”
Mrs. Mildred Gray, a past president of VIA, donated personal money to help students continue their nursing education.
The Margaret H. Rollins School of Nursing at Beebe Healthcare, is the only hospital-based nursing program in Delaware, and is accredited by The Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN). The diploma in Professional Nursing is awarded at the completion of the curriculum, qualifying graduates to be eligible for National Council of State Boards of Nursing NCLEX examination, leading to licensure as a registered nurse. Beebe graduates consistently have high NCLEX pass rates.
