Wilson C. Choy, MD, Joins the Beebe Healthcare Board of Directors

The Beebe Healthcare Board of Directors announces that orthopaedic surgeon Wilson C. Choy, MD, has been welcomed as a new member of the Board.

“Dr. Choy has been an active member of the Beebe Medical Staff since 1996, and has greatly contributed to the development of our award-winning orthopaedic program at Beebe Healthcare,” said Board Chair, The Honorable William Swain Lee. “Dr. Choy also plays an important leadership role as a member of the Beebe Medical Executive Committee, and has helped our joint replacement programs earn national recognition, as well as certifications from the Joint Commission. We are honored that he will serve on the Board.”

Dr. Choy moved to Lewes in 1996 with his wife, Board certified physician Linda Choy, MD, and joined the Beebe Medical Staff shortly after completing a fellowship in adult joint reconstruction at the Brigham and Women's Hospital in Boston. Dr. Choy also was an associate clinical professor at Harvard Medical School and served as a research fellow for Smith & Nephew Company, Inc., looking into the specific causes of implant failure.
Dr. Choy is Board certified in Orthopaedic Surgery and is a Fellow of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons. He has performed hundreds of joint replacement surgeries at Beebe Healthcare, as well as general orthopaedic surgeries. He has been named a “Top Doc” for several years by Delaware Today magazine, and remains an active member of the Beebe Medical Executive Committee. Dr. Choy sees patients at his offices in Lewes, Milford, and Ocean View.

Dr. Choy replaces Robert J. White on the Board. Mr. White served from 1988 to 2014. From 1990 to 1998, he served as Treasurer, and then continued as a member of the finance committee until his retirement. He also served on the Beebe Physician Network Board (now Beebe Medical Group) since its inception in 1997, and was Secretary until 2007.
