The First 2015 “Beebe Baby” Born January 1 in the Women’s Health Pavilion at Beebe Healthcare

Luciano Kelvin Ros, Jr., weighing 6 lbs, 9 oz., was born at Beebe Healthcare Thursday, January 1 at 6:28 a.m. – establishing him as the first “Beebe Baby” for the year 2015. His parents, Dagsboro residents Ronada and Luciano Ros, were thrilled. He was born in the medical center in Lewes.

Since Luciano was the first baby, Women’s Health Pavilion staff members presented him and mom and dad with a gift basket. It included a collection of items that the department staff purchased, as well as a $100 gift certificate from the Beebe Medical Center Auxiliary. This continues the Auxiliary’s tradition of supporting the Mothers and Babies Services of Beebe which began with the formation of the Auxiliary in 1936. The Women’s Pavilion was funded by the Auxiliary with a $500,000 gift as part of the Vision 2000 campaign.
