Cast For A Cure Surf Fishing Tournament Nets $6,000 for Tunnell Cancer Center Patient Special Needs Fund
Submitted by Rachel on
Cast for a Cure Surf Fishing Tournament organizers Clark Evans, Brandy Timmons, and Scott Mayhugh presented a check for $6,000 to Beebe Medical Foundation for Beebe Healthcare’s Tunnell Cancer Center Patient Special Needs Fund. Old Inlet Bait and Tackle and Delaware Fisherwomen were the tournament’s main sponsors.
The annual tournament was held on May 19 at Fenwick Island State Park Beach and was followed by an awards ceremony at Just Hooked in Fenwick Island.
Beebe Healthcare’s Tunnell Cancer Center created the Patient Special Needs Fund to help defray the cost of non-medical expenses that act as barriers for patients to receive the care they require. Patients with limited financial means are eligible to apply for help through this fund.
