Beebe Medical Group Announces Beebe Endocrinology with Two Locations

Beebe Endocrinology – Lewes includes physician Carlton Boxhill, MD. Beebe Endocrinology – Millsboro includes physicians Samaneh Dowlatshahi, MD (Dr. Sam to her patients), and Karen Smith Coleman, MD.

Beebe Endocrinology – Lewes is located at 1526 Savannah Road and can be reached at (302) 645-2244. Beebe Endocrinology – Millsboro is located at 232 Mitchell Street, First Floor, and can be reached at (302) 648-7999.

Dr. Boxhill joined Beebe in 2008 and worked with the late Dr. Mansour Saberi in the Lewes office. Dr. Boxhill is a graduate of Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons and has been practicing for more than 30 years. He specializes in endocrinology, diabetes, and metabolism.

Dr. Sam joined Beebe Healthcare in 2017. She received her medical degree from Tehran University in Iran and completed an internal medicine residency at St. Francis Hospital in Evanston, Illinois. She completed an endocrinology fellowship in 2017 at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center.

Dr. Smith Coleman joined Beebe Healthcare this year. She has been practicing endocrinology in the Seaford area for more than 20 years. Dr. Smith Coleman received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Pacific Union College in Angwin, California, and her Doctor of Medicine from Georgetown University Medical Center in Washington, D.C. She completed a residency in internal medicine and a fellowship in endocrinology, diabetes, and metabolism, both at Georgetown University Medical Center.

Also joining Beebe Endocrinology – Millsboro is Yvonne Jones, Certified Diabetes Educator, who will be able to provide hands-on education to diabetes patients at the practice.

Beebe Endocrinology aims to restore balance to the body’s systems, specifically those governed by the glands and hormones. Endocrinologists commonly treat thyroid disease, excessive or insufficient production of hormones, diabetes, osteoporosis, and other conditions.

Beebe Medical Group is comprised of 20 specialty offices in 43 locations throughout southern Delaware. When patients see providers that are within the Beebe Medical Group, they enjoy the experience of seamless electronic medical correspondence between office visits, outpatient facilities and the hospital.
