Beebe Healthcare Announces New Bicycle Patrols in Lewes
Submitted by Rachel on
Beebe Healthcare’s Department of Public Safety & Security is proud to announce the deployment of a new bicycle patrol.
Officers Joseph Buck and Joseph Pembroke recently completed an extensive police mountain bike training course, operated by Sgt. Patrick Foley of the Bethany Beach Police Department.
Both officers received their certification through the International Police Mountain Bike Association (IPMBA).
The bike patrol is just one of several proactive initiatives by Beebe Healthcare’s DPSS to strengthen the partnerships with the various customers we serve. The bike patrol will allow a higher visibility of Beebe’s officers, a quicker response time to incidents, and greater patrol coverage in a shorter period of time, said Frank Molino, Beebe Healthcare’s Public Safety and Security Manager.
“We are thrilled to be able to offer this service, which will greatly improve the safety and security of visitors and team members,” Molino said.
Beebe Healthcare is a not-for-profit community healthcare system with a charitable mission to encourage healthy living, prevent illness, and restore optimal health for the people residing, working, or visiting in the communities we serve.
