Beebe Healthcare Cybersecurity Expert to Speak at Lewes Public Library

Beebe Healthcare’s IT Security department has teamed up with the Lewes Public Library to present a four-part educational series on Cybersecurity. Through March and April, Glenn Stover, IT Security Manager for Beebe Healthcare, will present the following topics for community outreach and education:

Cybersecurity: Social Engineering Awareness - Tuesday, March 28
Cybersecurity: Passwords and Online Security - Tuesday, April 4
Cybersecurity: Ransomware and Malware - Tuesday, April 11
Cybersecurity: Identity Theft - Tuesday, April 18

Each session is from 11 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. and is open to the public. The sessions provide a great opportunity for those that live and work in the community to learn more about the pitfalls surrounding online activities, and how to best safeguard against cyber criminals.

Glenn Stover has more than 23 years of healthcare technology and security experience. He holds numerous certifications including the Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), HealthCare Information Security and Privacy Practitioner (HCISPP), as well as multiple vendor accreditations. Glenn’s work in security spans threat analysis, incident response and recovery, social engineering attacks and protection, and business continuity and resiliency. Glenn has been invited to speak both regionally and through national organizations including the College of Healthcare Information Management Executives on his expertise covering business and personal security techniques and strategies.
