Beebe Healthcare’s Tunnell Cancer Center to hold free skin cancer screening

Beebe Healthcare’s Tunnell Cancer Center will host a free community Skin Cancer Screening event, Tuesday, May 19.

May is Skin Cancer Awareness Month. According to The Skin Cancer Foundation, each year in the US, nearly 5 million people are treated for skin cancer. Over the past three decades, more people have had skin cancer than all other cancers combined.

The Skin Cancer Screening will be held from 5-7 p.m. at the Tunnell Cancer Center, 18947 John J. Williams Hwy. (Route 24), in Rehoboth Beach. Offered at no cost, this free skin cancer screening event allows Sussex County residents who qualify to have their skin cancer risk assessed.

This event is open to the public, but pre-registration is required to Debbie Campbell, RN, MSN, at (302) 645-3169.
