Beebe Medical Foundation’s Board of Ambassadors Welcomes New Members
Submitted by Anonymous (not verified) on
Beebe Medical Foundation welcomes 10 new members to its Board of Ambassadors. The responsibility of the Board is to work with the Foundation to support and advocate for the expansion of quality healthcare by reaching out to those who live and work in Sussex County.
“We welcome our new members, and thank them for committing themselves to learn about the services offered by Beebe and to be an advocate for Beebe’s work in the community,” says Alex Sydnor, President and CEO of Beebe Medical Foundation, and Vice President of External Affairs for Beebe Medical Center. “We also applaud the work that all of the members of the Board do to make Sussex County a better and healthier place to live, to work, and to visit.”
Ambassadors typically serve a two-year term and represent Beebe Medical Foundation at many events. They are both advocates and good listeners, talking to people about what services Beebe Medical Center offers, and learning about what more is needed.
The Foundation typically hosts a spring and a fall meetings to educate ambassadors about Beebe Medical Center on topics ranging from the latest cardiac procedures and surgeries being performed to the growth of the orthopaedic spine surgery program. Physicians are brought in to present to the group and answer questions so they may speak socially about the latest happenings at the Medical Center.
