Beebe Medical Center Invites the Community to Attend the 2013 Health Fair

Beebe Medical Center invites the community to its 2013 Health Fair to take place Saturday, February 9, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Rehoboth Beach Convention Center.
This free event, designed to promote healthy living for all ages, offers a variety of screenings, cooking demonstrations, educational materials and giveaways, a drawing, kids’ activities, light refreshments, and entertainment. There also will be presentations by local physicians and flu and pneumonia vaccinations offered by the state Division of Public Health.
Representatives from health organizations will provide information and be available to answer questions. The event will include health screenings for heart disease, stroke, and diabetes. Those attending will be able to learn their body mass index, blood pressure, and glucose and cholesterol levels from qualified clinicians.

10 a.m. - Bobby Gulab, MD, an internal medicine physician at Beebe Internal Medicine of Lewes.
Noon – Wilson Choy, MD, an orthopaedic surgeon at Premier Orthopaedics Bones & Joint Care in Milford.
11 a.m. and 1 p.m. -- Healthy Cooking Demonstration
Those who complete all the screenings have a chance to win a 3-night stay at a cabin at the Delaware Seashore State Park sponsored by Sussex Outdoors, or a Nook™ reader.
