Selvi Lingam, MD, known to her patients as Dr. Selvi, is Board Certified in Internal Medicine, Oncology and Hematology. She completed her fellowship in Oncology and Hematology at Maimonides Medical Center in Brooklyn, New York. While there, her research focused on Kaposi’s sarcoma, breast cancer and treatment of elderly patients with acute myeloid leukemia.She also served as Chief Fellow during her third year at Maimonides. Before her fellowship accomplishments, Dr. Lingam earned her medical degree in 2001 at the Kasturba Medical College in India, and completed her residency at the Coney Island Hospital in Brooklyn. She treats all types of cancer and blood disorders. She is also trained in transfusion medicine. Dr. Lingam joined Beebe with patient care experience at the Martinsburg VA Medical Center in West Virginia, and in private practice in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania.
Nataliya Melnyk, MD, joined Beebe following completion of her Fellowship in Hematology Oncology at Rutgers-Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital in New Brunswick, New Jersey. While there, she participated in several cancer research efforts, including those for advanced melanoma and sarcoma. She also has completed research on hematological abnormalities in pregnancy and neurological syndromes associated with tumors. Dr. Melnyk earned her medical degree in 2002 at the Ternopil State Medical Academy in Ukraine, and completed her internal medicine residency at the Jersey Shore University Medical Center. She is Board Certified in Internal Medicine.
Srujitha Murukutla, MD, earned her medical degree from Kakatiya Medical College, NTR University of Health Sciences in India in 2006. She went on to do a residency in Internal Medicine at Staten Island University Hospital in Staten Island, NY. Upon completion of the residency, she worked at University of Pittsburgh as a Clinical Instructor of Medicine. She then pursued her passion for Hematology-Oncology by completing a fellowship at Staten Island University Hospital in Staten Island, NY. She served as chief fellow during her final year of fellowship training in Hematology-Oncology. She authored several publications with emphasis on breast cancer research. She is Board Certified in Internal Medicine. Additionally, she is a member of American Society of Clinical Oncology and also American Society of Hematology.
Nisarg Desai, MD, earned his medical degree from Gujarat University Smt. N.H.L. Municipal Medical College in India in 2007. He completed a research fellowship at the Cleveland Clinic in 2008, an internal medicine residency at Staten Island University Hospital (New York City) in 2011, and a Hematology-Oncology fellowship at University at Buffalo, Roswell Park Cancer Institute. He is well published in international journals and has presented his research in various national conferences. Prior to joining Tunnell Cancer Center, he spent two years in private practice in Alton, Illinois.
Carmen Pisc, MD, earned her medical degree at Carol Davila Medical School in Bucharest Romania. She completed a residency and Fellowship at UMass Medical School in Worcester, Massachusetts. She also completed her postdoctoral fellowship at Mass General Hospital at Harvard Medical School and did extensive translational and basic science research.
James Spellman, MD, is a Fellowship-trained surgical oncologist. He is Board Certified in General Surgery. He is an accomplished surgeon, researcher and author of professional articles in medical journals and books. He is the Delaware State Chair of the American College of Surgeons Commission on Cancer (CoC) Cancer Liaison Program and a Fellow of The American College of Surgeons and of The Society of Surgical Oncology. Dr. Spellman earned his medical degree at Jefferson Medical College in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. He completed his residency at Stamford Hospital and his fellowship at the Pritzker School of Medicine, University of Chicago. He was a member of the staff in the Department of Surgical Oncology, Division Melanoma and Soft Tissue Sarcoma, and in the Department of Molecular Medicine at Roswell Park Cancer Institute.
Brian Costleigh, MD, Radiation Oncologist, is Board Certified in Radiology - Radiation Oncology. He completed his medical degree at Hahnemann University School of Medicine in Philadelphia, followed by an internship at Saint Vincent’s Hospital in New York City. He completed his residency at Hahnemann University Department of Radiation Oncology. He sees patients at Tunnell Cancer Center and affiliated center, Nanticoke Cancer Care in Seaford. He is a partner in Delmarva Radiation Services.
Owen Thomas, MD, is Board Certified in Radiation Oncology. He completed his medical degree at University of Maryland School of Medicine in Baltimore. He completed his residency in the Department of Radiation Oncology and Molecular Radiation Sciences at Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine. He sees patients at Tunnell Cancer Center and affiliated center, Nanticoke Cancer Care in Seaford. He is a partner in Delmarva Radiation Services.
Jennifer Hung, MD, is Board Certified in Radiation Oncology. She completed her medical degree at University of Michigan in Ann Arbor. She completed an internship in Internal Medicine at St. Joseph Mercy Hospital in Ann Arbor and did her residency in Radiation Oncology at University of Alabama in Birmingham. She sees patients at Tunnell Cancer Center and affiliated center, Nanticoke Cancer Care in Seaford. She is a partner in Delmarva Radiation Services.

Alec Chase, PA-S, is a Board Certified Physician Assistant. He completed his Master’s degree in Physician Assistant Studies at the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine. He sees medical oncology and hematology patients at Tunnell Cancer Center and at Beebe Healthcare’s Medical Center in Lewes.
Isabel Benson, NP-C, OCN, Oncology Nurse Practitioner, is Board Certified as a Nurse Practitioner. She holds a Master’s Degree in Nursing from Thomas Jefferson University in Philadelphia. She also completed her Nurse Practitioner education at Thomas Jefferson University. She sees medical oncology and hematology patients at Tunnell Cancer Center and at Beebe Healthcare’s Medical Center in Lewes.
Elizabeth Wilson, NP, is a Board Certified Nurse Practitioner. She is certified in Oncology Nursing holds a Master’s degree in Nursing. She completed her undergraduate nursing degree at the Margaret H. Rollins School of Nursing at Beebe Healthcare and her Master’s degree and Nurse Practitioner education at Wilmington University in Delaware. She sees medical oncology and hematology patients at Tunnell Cancer Center and at Beebe Healthcare’s Medical Center in Lewes.
