Research Reveals the Transformative Power of Lifestyle Changes

In preparation for the opening of Dr. Ornish’s Program for Reversing Heart Disease™ (Ornish Reversal Program) this summer at the Beebe Health Campus in Rehoboth Beach, Dr. Ornish came to Lewes to speak to area physicians.

More than 150 physicians and other invited guests learned about the nationally recognized program scientifically proven through 35 years of peer-reviewed, published research, to prevent, halt or reverse the progression of heart disease.

At the new center in the Medical Arts Building at the Beebe Health Campus on John J. Williams Highway (Route 24), Ornish Reversal Program participants will attend 18, four-hour sessions in which an experienced team will teach them how to prepare and follow a lowfat, whole-food, plant-based diet; how to incorporate moderate exercise; how to use techniques such as gentle yoga and meditation to help them manage their stress; and how to find ways to connect and improve methods of communication through group support. Participants will learn skills to improve their health and the rest of their lives.

Beebe Healthcare would like to introduce the Ornish Reversal Program core team members who will be working with participants.
