Baby-sitting Course Returns for 2019

The Margaret H. Rollins School of Nursing at Beebe Healthcare will once again hosts its popular Baby-sitting Course this summer.

The one-day course teaches teens the characteristics and qualities of a good sitter, about child development and age-appropriate activities, safe home practices, first aid, and Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR).

The classes are 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., for teens aged 12 to 15 years old. Cost is $50 per participant and is on a first-come, first-served basis. Each participant should bring a bagged lunch. Juice and snacks will be provided.

Classes are available June 25, June 27, July 9, and July 10. They are held at the School of Nursing, which is directly behind Beebe’s Lewes Campus. To best access the School this summer, take Savannah Road to 4th Street, turn left. At the stop sign at Bethel church, turn left. Follow the road to the School (on your right). Drop off and pick off participants using the cul-de-sac.
