Visitor Information

Beebe Healthcare’s goal is to provide a patient-centered environment. Part of this ideal is enabling our patients to connect with their loved ones, while also maintaining a focus on the safety of everyone in every Beebe care site. We thank you for the privilege of caring for your family.

Visitor Guidelines (Updated: February 12, 2024)

Beebe Healthcare no longer requires masks for all patients, visitors, and team members, starting 7 a.m. Tuesday, February 12, 2024. Patients and visitors who feel more comfortable wearing a mask should continue to do so. Team members will wear masks if requested.

Masks will be required in certain scenarios, such as patients experiencing respiratory illness symptoms, or who have tested positive for COVID-19 within the past 10 days. Visitors who are sick or who have been exposed to someone who is ill should stay home.

Who can visit / How many visitors can I have?

Inpatients may have well visitors throughout their stay. Families are encouraged to visit as desired by the patient, following the nurse's recommendation for hours and number of visitors.

All visitors under the age of 16 must be accompanied and supervised by an adult other than the patient at all times.

Do not visit if you are sick. Visitors who have recently been exposed to a communicable disease may be asked to postpone visiting.

  • Labor & Delivery Patients: Please read the visitor policy carefully. Visitor policies are unique to each stage of delivery for both health and safety reasons. There may be a total of two consistent support persons (including the significant other) in the LDRP room during labor and for the first 2 hours after delivery. They shall be named by the patient and be in agreement with her attending physician or midwife upon admission. Support bands will be issued to the two support persons on the list.
    • Labor begins naturally/Go into labor on your own: two consistent support persons will be permitted when the patient is admitted.
    • Scheduled evening admission pre-induction of labor: If you are scheduled to come in the night before your induction of labor for pre-induction cervical ripening, you may have one primary support person stay overnight with you. In the morning when your induction is started, you may then have one additional support person for a total of two.
    • Scheduled induction of labor: Two consistent support persons will be permitted.
    • Scheduled cesarean deliveries: Two consistent support persons will be permitted when the patient is admitted. Only the primary support person is permitted in the operating room unless general anesthetic is administered then no support person will be permitted in the operating room.
    • Postpartum/after the baby has been born:
      • Only one adult support person is permitted to stay the night to help the mother care for the new baby.
      • One consistent, primary support person is welcome to visit at any time.
      • There may be one additional, consistent visitor permitted (total of three consistent visitors) during the postpartum period (for a total of 3 visitors).
      • If the mother has a Doula, the Doula is recognized as a part of the health care team, in that the Doula is in addition to whatever the number of support persons are permitted.
      • Visiting hours for two non-primary support persons are 3:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m.
  • Oncology patients: one well support person may accompany patients for all appointments and treatments at the Tunnell Cancer Center and/or South Coastal Cancer Center.

If you need to make special privilege visiting arrangements, please speak to the Charge Nurse, Nursing Supervisor, or call the Patient Relations Representative to discuss this possibility.

Beebe Healthcare does not restrict visitation on the basis of age (except during times of high levels of communicable community illness), race, color, national origin, religion, culture, language, physical or mental disability, socioeconomic status, sex, sexual orientation, and gender identity or expression.
