Angela M. Gleysteen, AGACNP, MSN

At Beebe Healthcare
Angela Gleysteen, AGACNP-BC, is a board-certified adult gerontology acute care nurse practitioner. She works on Beebe’s Intensive Care Unit (ICU) as an Advanced Practice Clinician (APC). In her day-to-day work, Angela collaborates with hospital intensivists to facilitate patient admissions, optimize care management, and coordinate care for patients who are undergoing treatment for complex conditions while admitted to the ICU.

Education, Training, and Credentialing
Angela is a graduate of the Margaret H. Rollins School of Nursing at Beebe Healthcare. She went on to earn her RN-BSN degree from the University of Delaware, then completed her Master of Science in Nursing at Walden University, which allowed her to pursue the Advanced Practice Clinician career path.

Earlier Work Experiences
Angela began her nursing career at Beebe as a Certified Nursing Assistant on the Women’s and Children’s Unit. After completing her nursing degree, she became a clinical nurse on that unit as well as the Medical/Surgical unit. Several years later, Angela transitioned to the ICU as a bedside nurse, and later served as an ICU charge nurse, managing staffing needs, education, and training while continuing to care for patients. After completing her Master’s degree, Angela moved into her current role as an adult gerontology acute care nurse practitioner in the ICU at Beebe.

Personal Interests
A native of Sussex County, Angela always knew that Beebe Healthcare was the ideal place to build her career. She is grateful for the opportunities she has had to work for her local hospital and care for people who live in the community she calls her own. Outside of work, Angela enjoys spending time with her husband and two kids and being outdoors.
