Jean Ann M. Yaccino, DO

Jean Ann Yaccino, DO, is an academic hospitalist who practices at Beebe Healthcare. With over two decades of experience caring for the local community, she specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of kidney disease and hypertension, and has a clinical interest in addressing the impact of diabetes on the body. Dr. Yaccino treats adult patients who have been admitted to the hospital. She collaborates closely with Beebe’s hospitalist team and is also actively involved with residents and medical students who are training at Beebe.

Education, Training, and Credentialing

Dr. Yaccino is a graduate of the Arizona College of Osteopathic Medicine. Upon graduation from medical school, she pursued internal medicine residency training at the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine, followed by a nephrology fellowship at MCP Hahnemann Hospitals, also located in Philadelphia. Dr. Yaccino is board certified in nephrology and was named a Top Doctor by Delaware Today in 2019 and every year thereafter. She is a member of the American Medical Association, the Medical Society of Delaware, and the National Kidney Foundation.

Earlier Work Experiences

Dr. Yaccino has been a member of Beebe’s medical staff since August 2005, while also working in private practice at Nephrology Associates in Lewes. Earlier in her career, she devoted many years to serving as the Medical Director for the MFC Dialysis Unit in Georgetown. Dr. Yaccino has also held a few key leadership roles at Beebe, including service as the Vice Chair of Internal Medicine and as an Investigational Review Board Member.

Personal Notes

Dr. Yaccino is an avid nature enthusiast, and enjoys tending to her garden, flowers, and trees. A self-proclaimed “homebody,” she can often be found with a good book in hand, watching movies, cooking in her kitchen, and spending quality time with her cats. She likes visiting the beach, and making time for yoga and meditation to relieve stress and relax.
