Jillian Abbott, NP, is a family nurse practitioner who provides comprehensive services for both adults and children. She is passionate about building personal and trusting relationships with her patients and encourages them to consult with her about any medical issues or concerns that present. Jillian advocates strongly for preventive care and provides patients with guidance on screenings and preventive exams they should schedule based on their age and family medical history.

Education, Training, and Credentialing

Jillian earned a Master of Science with concentration on family practice nursing and a Bachelor of Science in nursing, both from Wilmington University. Additionally, she earned a diploma in nursing from the Margaret H. Rollins School of Nursing at Beebe Healthcare, consistently recognized as the best nursing school in the state of Delaware. Jillian is a member of the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners as well as the Oncology Nursing Society. Additionally, Jillian is certified as a chemotherapy and immunotherapy nurse practitioner.

Earlier Work Experiences

Prior to joining Beebe’s primary care team, Jillian’s clinical focus was hematology and oncology care as a charge nurse in the Tunnell Cancer Center. There, she treated cancer patients from their time of diagnosis, through the process of treatment, and into remission and survivorship. Jillian also worked as a nurse on the medical-surgical unit at Peninsula Regional Medical Center.

Personal Notes

A lifelong resident of Sussex County, Jillian is passionate about serving the community she calls home. In her free time, she enjoys spending time at the beach, traveling to new destinations, cheering for her favorite football team – the Washington Commanders, listening to live music, and spending time with her husband, Trevor, and their two children, Andrew and Brooklynn.
