ABOUT THE PROVIDER

At Beebe Healthcare

Joanna White, MS, FNP-BC, is a family nurse practitioner who provides care for high school students, through Beebe Healthcare’s partnership with Sussex County Public Schools. She offers physicals and immunizations as well as acute care for students with minor illnesses and injuries. Additionally, she provides confidential reproductive health consultations for students. Joanna is passionate about adolescent health and is proud to be part of Beebe’s school-based health program, serving Indian River Wellness Center.

Education, Training, and Credentialing

Joanna is a two-time graduate of Salisbury University, where she earned both a Master of Science as a Family Nurse Practitioner and a Bachelor of Science as a Registered Nurse. Years ago, she also earned a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology and Women’s Studies from Wake Forest University. Joanna is certified as a family nurse practitioner by the American Nurses Credentialing Center and is registered as both and Advanced Practice Nurse and Registered Nurse in the state of Delaware. 

Earlier Work Experiences

Prior to joining Beebe, Joanna worked as a nurse practitioner at Bayhealth. She practiced independently in a school-based wellness center, offering primary care, acute care, preventive health services, and reproductive health care for middle and high school students. Earlier in her career she worked for the Liberty Healthcare Corporation and in a private family practice, working as a family nurse practitioner in both roles.

Personal Interests

When she is not working, Joanna enjoys spending time with her two children – one daughter and one son. For fun, she enjoys visiting the beach, traveling, cooking, reading, and riding roller coasters.
