Michael Lockerman, MSN, RN, APRN, FNP-C, is a family nurse practitioner who is part of Beebe Medical Group. He provides comprehensive primary care to patients of all ages, with the majority of his time devoted to annual physical and wellness exams, chronic disease management, and treatment for acute illnesses.

Education, Training, and Credentialing

Michael earned his Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Pensacola Christian College in Pensacola, Florida, and his Master of Science in Nursing Education from Grand Canyon University in Phoenix, Arizona. He completed his Post-Master’s Certificate at Chamberlain College of Nursing in Chicago, Illinois. Michael’s specialized LGBTQ+ certification was earned through the National Coalition for LGBTQ Health.

Earlier Work Experiences

Michael has worked extensively in cardiac, step-down, telemetry, and medical/surgical units in the hospital environment, caring for critically ill patients as a registered and traveling nurse throughout his career. Additionally, he has worked in Level 2 and 3 trauma centers, with time spent at Bayhealth Medical Center in Dover, the University of Maryland Shore Medical Center in Easton, Maryland, and Chippenham Hospital in Richmond, Virginia. Earlier in his career, Michael served as a registered nurse at several Level 1 trauma centers on the progressive care units at Sentara Norfolk General Hospital in Norfolk, Virginia, Johns Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore, Maryland, and Duke University Hospital in Durham, North Carolina. Michael joined Beebe Healthcare in 2023.

Personal Interests

Michael greatly appreciates the high-quality care culture that Beebe is building in Southern Delaware – as is proud to be part of the healthcare system’s commitment to quality, patient-centric care. Outside of work, he enjoys traveling to different countries and exploring other parts of the world.
