Muhammad Abdullah Awan, MD

Dr. Awan grew up in Saudi Arabia and earned his medical degree at the C.M.H. Lahore Medical College and Institute of Dentistry located in Pakistan. He joined Beebe Healthcare’s Family Medicine Residency in July 2026 with a goal to become a well-rounded physician who can confidently care for people in both inpatient and outpatient clinical settings. Dr. Awan is committed to providing compassionate, evidence-based care for his patients. As a family medicine resident physician, he evaluates and diagnoses a wide range of clinical conditions, illnesses, and injuries and sees patients of all ages.

Dr. Awan was inspired to become a doctor based on his own personal experiences as a patient. At a young age, he suffered a severe facial burn that required long-term treatment. The doctor who oversaw his care was skilled as well as kind and compassionate, and the empathy she demonstrated was never forgotten; from Dr. Awan’s perspective, she set the standard for what it means to be an outstanding physician.

“The scar on my face is a constant reminder of the pain I endured but also the healing power of compassionate care, which became the foundation for my pursuit of a career in medicine,” said Dr. Awan. “Beebe is a hospital where I can continue strengthening my clinical skills while working in a welcoming environment with supportive faculty.”

Dr. Awan speaks English and Urdu, as well as basic Arabic.
