Noor Al-Rashid, PA-C is a critical care physician assistant who provides nocturnal coverage in Beebe’s intensive care unit (ICU). She is responsible for admitting new patients during the overnight hours while also providing comprehensive care for all critically ill patients on the unit. This includes monitoring patient progress, managing medical interventions, and adjusting treatment as necessary. She also performs invasive procedures such as intubation, arterial lines, and central line placement. 

Education, Training, and Credentialing

Noor earned a Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies and a Master of Public Health, both from Shenandoah University in Winchester, Virginia. Additionally, she is certified by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA). 

Earlier Work Experiences

Prior to joining Beebe, Noor served as a physician assistant at the University of Maryland Baltimore Washington Medical Center, where she collaborated with a team to cover a 22-bed intensive care unit and a 24-bed intermediate care unit. At the height of the COVID pandemic, she completed an Advanced Practice Provider Critical Care Fellowship at the Mayo Clinic in Jacksonville, Florida, where she logged more than 3,000 hours of patient care work in the critical care setting and enhanced her knowledge of critical care procedures. Earlier in her career, Noor worked at the American Chamber of Commerce in Shanghai, China. She later ventured into entrepreneurship and launched her own business. She oversaw manufacturing and supply chain logistics, quality control, warehousing, shipping and distribution, customer service, and marketing efforts for her company’s flagship fashion brand.

Personal Interests

When she is not working, Noor enjoys traveling, yoga, biking, reading, and listening to podcasts. She is fluent in English as well as Arabic and French, and is proficient in Mandarin Chinese and Spanish.
