Oluwaseun A. Adeniyi, MD

Oluwaseun Adeniyi, MD, is a hospitalist in the Department of Internal Medicine at Beebe Medical Center. She is responsible for admitting patients who present in the Emergency Department, and provides comprehensive evaluation, monitoring, and care for adult patients on medical units during the overnight hours.

Education, Training, and Credentialing
Originally from Nigeria, Dr. Adeniyi earned her Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery (medical degree equivalent) from Obafemi Awolowo University in Ile-Ife, Nigeria. Dr. Adeniyi completed a clinical externship at Boneguard Orthopedics in Randolph, Massachusetts, followed by internship and residency training at St. John’s Episcopal Hospital and SUNY Downstate in New York.  Dr. Adeniyi is a member of the American College of Physicians, the Nigerian Medical Association, and the Medical and Dental Council of Nigeria. She is fluent in both English and Yoruba.

Earlier Work Experiences
Dr. Adeniyi began her medical training as a House Officer at the University College Hospital in Ibadan, Nigeria, and as a Medical Officer at Avon Medical Services in Lagos, Nigeria. Prior to joining Beebe Healthcare, she was a resident physician at St. John’s Episcopal Hospital in New York. There, she provided comprehensive care and follow-up treatment for patients, and led rapid responses on the medical and critical care units. During this time, she also served as a mentor for medical students and interns. Dr. Adeniyi has been a volunteer and community engagement member of the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation’s Immunization Plus Days for Oral Polio Vaccination, the Nigerian Christian Corpers’ Fellowship Rural Rugged Outreach Program, and the Moses Adekoyejo Majekodunmi Foundation.

Personal Interests
Dr. Adeniyi appreciates being a part of Beebe’s commitment to the delivery of quality patient care and is pleased to serve the local community. She especially enjoys the serenity that Lewes offers. Outside of work, she spends time cooking and gardening.
