Dr. Mahmoud earned his medical degree at the Università Degli Studi di Brescia in Brescia, Italy, and then completed his internal medicine residency at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai in New York. He completed his fellowship training in pulmonary and critical care medicine at the University of Maryland Medical Center in Baltimore. Dr. Mahmoud is a member of the Society of Mechanical Ventilation, the American College of Chest Physicians, the Society of Critical Care, and the American Thoracic Society (ATS). He is board-certified in internal medicine.
Earlier Work Experiences
Prior to joining Beebe, Dr. Mahmoud served as a pulmonary and critical care medicine Fellow at the University of Maryland Medical Center, where he cared for patients in various intensive care units and pulmonary clinics. In tandem, he conducted clinical research and provided instruction for medical students and residents.
Personal Interests
When he is not caring for patients, Dr. Mahmoud enjoys hiking and exploring new places with his dog. He speaks English and Italian.
