Rachana Amin, MD, is a primary care provider at Beebe Healthcare. She is passionate about providing comprehensive care for patients of all ages, and enjoys being able to treat families spanning multiple generations. Dr. Amin performs annual physicals and well visits, with focus on health maintenance and preventive care. At the same time, she offers long-term medical oversight for patients who have been diagnosed with chronic medical conditions, with focus on guiding patients on how to best manage their diseases and optimize their quality of life. Dr. Amin has special interests in intellectual and developmental disabilities medicine, obesity medicine, psychosocial medicine, women’s health, and basic dermatology care.

Education, Training, and Credentialing

Dr. Amin is a graduate of the St. George’s University School of Medicine, located in Grenada. She went on to pursue residency training in family medicine at Jefferson Einstein Montgomery Medical Center in Pennsylvania, where she also pursued specialized training in intellectual development and disabilities care at Jefferson Medical Center at Navy Yard. Dr. Amin is board certified by the American Board of Family Medicine.

Earlier Work Experiences

Prior to joining Beebe, Dr. Amin served in various clinical roles for healthcare organizations spanning the east coast, including Quest Diagnostics and Personal Promise Homecare.

Personal Notes

Dr. Amin and her husband are outdoor enthusiasts and avid hikers. They love visiting national parks and have also enjoyed exploring international terrain, with one of their most recent adventures being to the Alps in Switzerland. Dr. Amin’s “green thumb” is evident with more than 50 indoor plants sustained in her home. She also enjoys listening to all genres of music, preparing and serving delicious, homemade food, and decorating with eclectic art that she has collected from around the world. In addition to English, Dr. Amin is fluent in Gujarati and speaks conversational Hindi.
