Victoria Nelson, APRN, FNP-BC, ACHPN, is a palliative care specialist at Beebe Healthcare. She provides comprehensive, compassionate care for patients of all ages who have been diagnosed with chronic, life-limiting conditions. Victoria sees patients who have been admitted to Beebe as well as those who require ongoing treatment through home visits. She meets with patients and their families to establish care goals and discuss the steps that can be taken to optimize comfort and quality of life. Advanced care planning, patient and family support, and holistic care that addresses the physical, social, emotional, and spiritual needs of patients are her core priorities.

Education, Training, and Credentialing

Victoria earned a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Neuman University, located in Pennsylvania. Her education continued at Wilmington University, where she completed a Master of Education in Nursing as well as Post-Master’s Certificate to become a Family Nurse Practitioner. Victoria is certified as an Advanced Certified Hospice and Palliative Care Nurse and is also certified by the American Nurses Credentialing Center.

Earlier Work Experiences

Victoria served as a Palliative Care Nurse Practitioner at Tidal Health Nanticoke Hospital before she joined Beebe Healthcare. Earlier in her career, she worked there as a registered nurse on the medical-surgical, and pediatric short stay units. Additionally, Victoria served as a registered nurse at Delaware Hospice, with focus the delivery of holistic and evidence-based care and pain management for patients nearing end-of-life. 

Personal Notes

When she is not working, Victoria enjoys spending time with her fiancé, Jonathan, her family, and friends. Traveling, being outdoors, and reading are among her personal hobbies.
