REHOBOTH BEACH, Del. (April 30, 2026)  Beebe Healthcare and CAMP Rehoboth today announced a new partnership designed to expand convenient access to patient-centered health services in downtown Rehoboth Beach, bringing clinical care, preventive screenings, care navigation, and health education to residents and visitors in the Nation’s Summer Capital.

“This partnership is a nod to the mission of both organizations as Beebe Healthcare and CAMP Rehoboth serve people of all sexual orientations and gender identities. I am appreciative of the work over the past two years to get this partnership launched,” said Kim Leisey, PhD, former Executive Director for CAMP Rehoboth.

The collaboration will launch in phases, beginning this summer at CAMP Rehoboth’s Health Suite, a space CAMP Rehoboth has long used to support community health needs. Planning is also underway for a larger, expanded clinical space in downtown Rehoboth at 39 Baltimore Ave.

“This partnership reflects our shared commitment to delivering high-quality care with respect, dignity, and compassion,” said David A. Tam, MD, MBA, CPHE, FACHE, President & CEO of Beebe Healthcare. “By working with CAMP Rehoboth, we’re creating a more accessible entry point to essential services and building a long-term presence that strengthens the health of our community right in the heart of it.”

Care to Start This Summer

Beebe will occupy CAMP Rehoboth’s Health Suite, located in the rear of the CAMP Rehoboth Courtyard. The Health Suite is expected to operate primarily by appointment, with some same-day availability as scheduling permits. Scheduling and operating hours will be shared at a later date and may expand over time based on community needs and seasonal demand.

“CAMP Rehoboth looks forward to welcoming Beebe Healthcare to its campus in the heart of the City of Rehoboth Beach,” said Robin Brennan, DrPH, Executive Director at CAMP Rehoboth. “Through a strong partnership, CAMP Rehoboth will ensure that clinical services will not only be accessible, but affirming to advance the health, safety, and belonging for all.”

Care at the Health Suite will continue HIV and STI screening and related counseling, informed by the needs of the LGBTQ+ community and available to all patients. It will also expand prevention options, including plans for a pharmacy-led PrEP program, which would be the first of its kind in Delaware.

The model is intended to allow qualified clinical pharmacists, in coordination with Beebe’s medical team, to support PrEP initiation and follow-up care. Telehealth options may be incorporated as the program develops.

Initial services planned through the Health Suite and partnership programming include:

  • HIV screening and related counseling
  • STI screening and related testing
  • PrEP Support
  • Vaccinations
  • Care coordination, navigation, and referrals
  • Health education and outreach developed in collaboration with the community

“This partnership allows us to build on the trusted services this community has relied both on Beebe and CAMP Rehoboth for years,” said Bill Chasanov, DO, Chief Health Systems Design Officer, Beebe Healthcare. “By continuing HIV and STI testing and counseling while expanding prevention options, including a pharmacy-led PrEP program, we’re making it easier for people to access timely, clinically appropriate prevention care. We’re focused on lowering barriers and making the process clear, respectful, and patient-centered from the first appointment forward.”

Patients will receive care through Beebe’s licensed clinical team in an environment that prioritizes privacy and respectful, supportive interactions. Beebe and CAMP Rehoboth will share clear information about scheduling, privacy protections, and available options for coverage and financial assistance, so individuals can make informed choices about their care.

Care is available to all patients and will be provided in accordance with applicable patient privacy and nondiscrimination requirements.

Planning Underway for Expanded Downtown Space

In addition to the Health Suite, Beebe and CAMP Rehoboth are advancing plans for an expanded clinical space at 39 Baltimore Avenue.

Renovation planning is underway, and the organizations will share updates as permitting and construction timelines progress.

“The City of Rehoboth Beach is delighted to see accessible healthcare services becoming available within our city limits,” said City Manager Taylour Tedder. “This has long been a gap and will make a meaningful difference for residents and visitors seeking medical care. We are deeply grateful to CAMP and Beebe for their partnership and commitment.”

The expanded downtown clinical space is being planned to support year-round care and additional services that may include:

  • Primary care year-round for all, with operational flexibility to meet seasonal demand and support timely access to care during peak months
  • Behavioral health access when possible, including the potential for rotating specialists based on community needs and available space
  • A dedicated telehealth exam room to help patients connect with specialty care without leaving Rehoboth Beach
  • Limited Lab Express services

This phased approach allows care to begin sooner in the Health Suite while longer-term renovation plans progress for an expanded clinical footprint downtown.

“This project is a testament to the relationship and vision building undertaken over the years between CAMP Rehoboth, the City, Beebe and the community we all serve. I am deeply appreciative of our prior Executive Director, Kim Leisey, for helping shepherd this project to this point,” said Leslie Ledogar, CAMP Rehoboth Board President.

“This project is also a testament to the generosity and commitment of our members, donors and supporters,” Ledogar continued, “It is because of the unwavering support of our community, that we can make this groundbreaking, first-of-its-kind project a reality in Rehoboth Beach.”
