Beebe Medical Foundation is proud to announce that Amy Lord, RN, has been named recipient of its 2026 Nursing Philanthropy Award. The award honors a nurse who is making a meaningful difference for others through demonstrated excellence in the clinical care environment as well as through active participation in Beebe’s philanthropic efforts. Lord’s commitment to Beebe Healthcare, its patients, and the local community is clear and extends far beyond the bedside.

As a clinician who works in Beebe’s South Coastal Cancer Center, Lord embodies compassion, connection, and generosity in every aspect of her work. She makes it a priority to care for others on a deeply human level that impacts patients and their families long after treatment ends. Patients often share that Lord takes time to listen, offers reassurance when it is needed most, and brings comfort through empathy, humor, meaningful conversations, and small but personal gestures that make them feel seen, supported, and never alone. Her impact is especially profound during moments of significant loss; patient’s loved ones have reflected on how Lord’s guidance and comfort during incredibly difficult times has resulted in immense gratitude and lasting bonds with Beebe Healthcare.

“Amy’s dedication, compassion, and unwavering commitment to serving others make her an ideal recipient of the 2026 Nursing Philanthropy Award,” said Alexia Hines, Manager and Chief Radiation Therapist in Radiation Oncology at both the Beebe South Coastal Cancer Center and the Beebe Tunnell Cancer Center. “This recognition reflects her commitment to clinical excellence as well as the meaningful connections she makes with her patients, families, colleagues.”

From a philanthropic standpoint, Lord is a proud member of the Beebe Medical Group’s Giving Hands Society and consistently supports Foundation initiatives by attending or volunteering at events. She engages with prospective donors frequently, advocating for the importance of supporting Beebe and helping to facilitate grateful patient referrals. These efforts have played an instrumental role in fundraising efforts that directly impact current and future patient care, as Beebe continues to grow its clinical service lines and community outreach programs.

“Amy is someone who lives out philanthropy through action, presence, and heart – day in and day out,” said Sean Flanigan, Major Gift Officer at Beebe Medical Foundation. “Any time we ask her attend an event, to share her personal story, or to speak with donors, her answer is yes.

Without knowing it, Amy has played a role in nearly a million dollars of philanthropic support over the past couple of years. Her commitment serves as a powerful example of the difference once nurse can make.”
