Ahmad M. Elayyan, MD

Ahmad Elayyan, MD, is an endocrinologist who is part of Beebe Healthcare’s Medical Staff. Board certified in both endocrinology and internal medicine, he specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of thyroid diseases, adrenal and pituitary diseases, diabetes, and osteoporosis.

Dr. Elayyan devotes a significant amount of time to patient education, with focus on lifestyle changes people can make to better manage their medical conditions and optimize their overall health and wellness. He appreciates the opportunity he has to provide life changing treatment for patients, with focus on continuity in care.

Dr. Elayyan earned his medical degree at the University of Jordan. He went on to complete an internship at the Ministry of Health Affiliated Hospitals, also in Amman, Jordan, followed by an internal medicine residency at the McLaren Regional Medical Center in Flint, Michigan.

During this time, Dr. Elayyan also participated in several observership programs, gaining clinical exposure in the fields of gastroenterology, plastic surgery, radiology, internal medicine, and endocrinology. His post-graduate training concluded with an endocrinology fellowship at Southern Illinois University.

Prior to joining Beebe, Dr. Elayyan served as an endocrinologist at Tidal Health. He has earned a reputation as an expert in his field, being named a Top Doctor by Delaware Today in both 2019 and 2020.

Dr. Elayyan's spouse, Eman Mazloum, MD, is a family medicine physician who is also part of Beebe Healthcare. They have one son, and make family time a key priority in the midst of their professional and career commitments. In his free time, Dr. Elayyan enjoys watching soccer and movies, traveling, and visiting beaches, both near and far.
