Bradlee J. Palmquist, DO

Bradlee Palmquist, DO, is an academic nocturnist who works at Beebe Healthcare. He specializes in internal medicine, with special interests in critical care medicine, hospice and palliative care, and healthcare for the LGBTQIA+ community. Much of Dr. Palmquist’s time is devoted to caring for adult patients admitted to the hospital from the Emergency Department, who are facing complex medical issues requiring around-the-clock treatment and monitoring. In addition to collaborating with other attending physicians, specialists, and nursing teams, he works closely with resident physicians with a goal to educate, encourage, and foster their critical thinking and medical skills. Dr. Palmquist is grateful for the opportunity Beebe provides physicians to grow as both clinicians and educators. He is excited to contribute to the continuous growth and development of the healthcare system’s graduate medical education programs.

Education, Training, and Credentialing
Dr. Palmquist earned his medical degree at Edward Via College of Osteopathic Medicine in Spartanburg, South Carolina, and completed his post-graduate residency training in Internal Medicine at Bayhealth Medical Center. He is certified by the Delaware Board of Medicine and is a member of the American College of Physicians, the American Medical Association, and the Medical Society of Delaware.

Earlier Work Experiences
Dr. Palmquist joined Beebe following completion of his residency training. While pursing residency, he was appointed to the role of Chief Resident and was actively involved with numerous committees and special projects focused on quality improvement, graduate medical education, research, and program evaluation.

Personal Notes
Outside of work, Dr. Palmquist enjoys spending time with friends, walking, hiking, and jogging, trying new foods at local restaurants (with sushi being high on his list of favorite cuisines), and traveling. It is a personal goal of his to visit every national park in the United States.
