Dr. Jesus Esquivel is board certified in general surgery and specializes in oncologic surgery. He received his medical degree from Universidad Autonoma de Tamaulipas and completed his residency training at The New York Hospital of Queens.

Prior to joining Beebe, Dr. Esquivel was an Attending Surgeon and Director of the Peritoneal Surface Malignancy Program at Frederick Memorial Hospital in Maryland. He is a pioneer in the advancement of Hyperthermic Intraperitoneal Chemotherapy (HIPEC) for patients with gastrointestinal and gynecological cancer. Dr. Esquivel has vacationed in Rehoboth Beach with his family for years and is thrilled to now be living in and serving the community.

Dr. Esquivel was recently published in the Open Journal of Gastroenterology, as he was part of an incredibly rare occurrence, in which two patients from Sussex County had two different appendiceal cancers (each) at the time of their appendectomies at Beebe Healthcare.
