Lauren Freebery, MMS, PA-C, is a Physician Assistant who is part of Beebe Healthcare’s general surgery team. She assists physicians and other clinical care providers in the operating room during surgical cases, while also handling pre-operative and post-operative patient assessments. Lauren supports both urgent and elective cases, and is committed to guiding patients through the process of care in a way that optimizes both their experience on the day of surgery and their recovery process in the days and weeks following surgery.

Education, Training, and Credentialing

Lauren earned a Master of Medical Sciences and completed the Physician Assistant Program at Arcadia University, located in Pennsylvania. She is also a graduate of the University of Delaware, where she completed a Bachelor of Science in Health Behavior Sciences. Lauren is certified by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants and the American Academy of Physician Assistants.

Earlier Work Experiences

Prior to joining Beebe, Lauren served as a Medical Assistant ENT and Allergy of Delaware. Before that she worked for Newark Urgent Care, First State Infectious Disease Center, and the University of Delaware Emergency Care Unit. Years ago, she also served as a volunteer in the Emergency Department and Radiology Department at Beebe, giving her early perspective on the hospital’s commitment to serving the community.

Personal Notes

When she is not working, Lauren enjoys spending time with family and friends, running, being outdoors, traveling, reading, scuba diving, creating art, and playing the piano.
