Robert “Bob” Barwick, PA-C, is a board-certified physician assistant who practices with Beebe Medical Group. He sees patients of all ages at Beebe’s five Walk-In Care Centers, located throughout Sussex County. Bob provides comprehensive diagnosis and treatment of acute illnesses including ear infections, cold and flu, Covid, urinary tract infections, abdominal pain, and COPD. He also can address joint pain and minor orthopaedic injuries. 

Education, Training, and Credentialing

Bob earned both his Bachelor of Science in Zoology and his Master of Science in Fisheries Science from North Carolina State University in Raleigh, North Carolina. He went on to complete his Master of Physician Assistant Studies at East Carolina University, located in Greenville, North Carolina. Bob is certified by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants. 

Earlier Work Experiences

Bob has a wealth of experience in primary care, urgent care, and emergency medicine, having served as a physician assistant in North Carolina and Delaware. Locally, he has worked for Wagner and Prigg Family Medicine, and Aspira Health/Atracare, both located in Lewes. Before pursuing a career in healthcare, was as a fisheries biologist at the North Carolina Wildlife Resource Commission. Bob combines his passion for wildlife, public service, education, and medicine in every role he takes on and has received multiple awards for his contributions to medicine and natural resources. 

Personal Interests

Bob is happy to be a part of the Beebe Healthcare family, which encompasses the values he holds close; treating others in the community with kindness, respect, and a commitment to improving the overall health and well-being of his friends and neighbors. In his free time, he enjoys gardening, biking, fishing, and hiking at the beautiful Delaware state parks.
