Scott Milstein, DO, is a family medicine physician who is employed by Beebe Medical Group. He has more than three decades of experience, providing general internal and primary care services for adult patients. Dr. Milstein concentrates on comprehensive chronic disease management and treatment of acute illnesses. He has a specialized interest in caring for patients who have been diagnosed with hypertension, hyperlipidemia (high cholesterol), and/or diabetes. Additionally, patients of Dr. Milstein rely on him for routine physical exams and Medicare wellness exams. As part of his holistic approach to patient care, he encourages people to take an active role in their healthcare, and make their overall health and well-being a key priority. 

Education, Training, and Credentialing

Dr. Milstein earned his Doctor of Osteopathy degree from the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey School of Osteopathic Medicine (now Rowan University). He went on to complete his osteopathic internship and family medicine residency at Kennedy Memorial Hospital in Stratford, New Jersey. Dr. Milstein is board-certified in family medicine through the American Osteopathic Board of Family Physicians (AOBFP). Additionally, he is a member of the American Osteopathic Association and the Pennsylvania Osteopathic Medical Association. 

Earlier Work Experiences

Dr. Milstein began his career as a staff family physician at Latrobe Area Hospital/Avonmore Family Practice and later worked for UPMC Partners in Health. He opened his own private family medicine practice, Milstein Medical Group, Inc., where he provided family medical care as a solo practitioner before merging his practice with the Allegheny Health Network. Before moving to Sussex County, he worked in primary care with Valor Healthcare, delivering care services to veterans.

Personal Interests

When he is not working, Dr. Milstein is an avid comic book collector, having built an impressive collection of nearly 85,000 comic books. He and his wife, Heather, reside in Lewes and enjoy all the area has to offer.
